Fantastic, helpful staff. Super friendly front desk. Manager ensured a better stay. Wonderful old building with antique elevator. Clean sheets and bedding. Close proximity to central station. Welcoming and respectful guests. Girls-only dorm option
No negatives from this place.

Facilities, especially bathroom were very clean and well maintained. Women's bathroom is keyed entry only. Meal specials. Friendly travel itinery staff. Great bargain.
Goes with the territory, but; noise.

The Hotel was central to Brisbane CBD, close to train station and Queen St mall, I chose the place because I was attending a concert at QPAC concert hall so it was easy to get their for this reason.
It was very noisy at night, but that is to be expected as it really is a backpackers meant for younger generation. The room was small with a walk to toilet and showers down hallways however it was cheap as chips, what more can I say.

The convenience and location was great. The staff at reception and in the bars were very friendly and helpful and created a good feeling and vibe in the place. Meals were excellent value and I congratulate the standard here. The showers and toilets were also clean and cared for.
my only complaints are that the room I had on the fourth floor which was 445 was subject to constant exposure to the noise of people coming in and leaving with baggage wheels connecting with the wooden floor at the double glass doors leading out from the hallway into the foyer where the elevator is. The noise is very loud and something should be done to soften the movement of bags and wheels when they leave the carpet area and hit the wooden floor and then banging through the double doors. My room 445 is the first room as you enter the hallway and immediately next to the door way and the wooden floor.

As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the central location, clean rooms, and private balcony with a view of the bustling city below. the breezy summer weather made it even more enjoyable. Plus, the abundance of wall hooks was perfect for organizing our gear.
Felt like a true home away from home, no complaints at all.

During our stay, we had the pleasure of experiencing the amazing location of All Nations. Being right opposite Central Station made it incredibly convenient to explore the surrounding areas and navigate the city easily. It was also a bonus to have the female staff working on Saturday night who were friendly and accommodating.
There were a few drawbacks we encountered. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room was subpar, with previous visitors' hair found on the bed linen.

Cheeful helpful staff, it was very convenient to stay right nearby railway station as well as not far from the center of the city
Rooms are stuffy as there is no air-conditioning, just a ventilator on the ceiling

Abosolutely nothing
This is a copy of the email I sent bace backpackers Dear Sir/Madam My wife and I stayed at the Base backpackers in Brisbane ( central) on 22/4/2011, we stayed on the 3rd floor in a double room. The conditions were vile to say the least, the room smelt like sweat and urine . Im sure the room hadn't seen a vacuum in several weeks. In the morning on my way to the toilet was pleased to find no less than 4 puddles of vomit in hallway as well and on the toilet floor . Of course the toilet seat was broken from its hinges . At least one gentleman was unable to aim into the toilet . The shower had macdonalds wrappers spread randomly , perhaps this was an attempt at art ? I don't think it will sell. My wife tells me the female toilets were satisfactory . During the night many people were smoking outside our room , A direct Violation of Base Backpacker rules. Before you write us off as an old couple that didn't know what we were getting our selfs into , My wife is 33 and I am 29. We have Backpacked all over the world , in many developing countries , bolivia , thailand and morocco to name a few, Never have we come across rubbish conditions or lack of common decency! I was surprised about that there was no fan in our room. Its Brisbane to say it get hot is massive understatement. To be fair the linen was clean and the admin staff were competent . Thank you Benjamin Levi

We had a great time exploring the nearby Botanical Gardens and Southbank, which were just a short walk away from the hostel. the shared bathrooms were surprisingly clean and modern, and the staff, although casual, were friendly and helpful. the rooftop entertainment area provided a cool spot to relax and socialize. we enjoyed the convenient location and the comfortable bed.
The lift in the hostel was a bit old and unreliable, which meant we had to climb a few flights of stairs with our heavy suitcases.

The location of the hotel was fantastic, with easy access to public transportation and various attractions within walking distance. The staff at the reception were friendly and helpful, providing useful information and assistance throughout my stay. the bar downstairs offered reasonably priced drinks, making it a convenient spot for a night out.
The room I stayed in was uncomfortable, with only one plug socket available, which made it difficult to charge my devices. The lack of air conditioning made it unbearable during hot weather, and the noise from the bar and city traffic made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

The room was clean and simple.
Several things. That lift needs to be updated. The room was very hot. Upon opening windows, there was a large barrage of noise coming from below. Probably a generator or something. Toilets and bathrooms need to be updated. Too much graffiti and offensive language in toilets. Shower rooms need to have sliding doors for more privacy and a lot of painting needs to be done to improve the look. Simply put, I didn't shower.
